Community Guidelines

BisaSpeak's Zoom classes and WhatsApp groups are places where people try a new language in front of others. That takes courage, so the rules are simple: make everyone feel safe to make mistakes.
Be kind and respectful
No mocking, bullying, harassment or belittling comments about accents, mistakes, appearance, ethnicity, religion, gender or anything else. We laugh together, never at someone.
Give people room to speak. If someone is working on an answer, wait until they finish.
Language
Use as much English as you can. Mistakes are part of learning, and corrections come from the teacher, not from other students, unless asked for.
Indonesian is fine for asking questions or checking you have understood.
In Zoom classes
Use your real name or first name so the teacher knows who you are. Mute when you are not speaking. Camera on or off is your choice.
Do not record or photograph the class yourself, and do not share the Zoom link with anyone. The official recording is provided in the portal for your cohort.
In WhatsApp groups
The group is for the class: questions, practice, announcements and encouragement. Not for promotion, selling, invitations to other groups, chain messages or unrelated content.
Do not share other students' numbers, chat screenshots or personal details outside the group.
Teachers and admins reply during working hours. Messages outside those hours are answered on the next working day.
Content
No sexual content, violence, hate speech, or political and religious debate. This is a language classroom.
Breaches
Minor breaches get a warning from the teacher or admin. Serious or repeated breaches, including harassment and spreading recordings, can lead to removal from the course without a refund, as set out in the Terms & Conditions.
If someone's behaviour makes you uncomfortable, report it via the admin WhatsApp or halo@bisaspeak.com. Reports are handled confidentially.
